Mise En Scene Consideration

In our film opening, we will need to consider how we use mise en scene to make sure that the props and costumes in the scene let the audience understand the genre and the types of characters in the film.

We will make sure to include appropriate clothing and props in order to fully immerse the audience in the film.

As we are filming a news report, we wanted to ensure that we filmed a place that is busy like it would when on live TV. We decided to film at Chelmsford as from past experiences we know this is very busy on a Saturday lunch time. We are planning to have our actor wearing a suit to look professional. We also plan to give him a mic so the audience are able to identify his role within the film opening straight away.

The rest of the film is planned to be set within a house. When at a house, we will want our actor to dress in lounge wear (eg. Tracksuit bottoms and jumper) so it fits in with the narrative. We want all furniture to be included within the shot so it looks like a normal living room and make sure the TV is included.
